LATEST NEWS

Currently we're not responding to major disasters as I tore some ligaments in my hip, thigh and knee while I do PT daily to get back at it.  We've moved our base camp to Cedar Ranch Retreat Center in Culpeper, VA, where we're helping with the maintenance and discipleship there.  We've also been able to help with some local flood relief and still desire to continue doing diaster relief.   To read the update concerning this move, click here

If you’re interested in growing in The LORD as you selflessly serve others alongside of Calvary Relief during a response or at the Ranch, please let us know!  For more info on joining us, click here

To stay up to date with what we're doing, please see our blog, facebook and/or our newsletters, links are above.

Please pray that wherever we are and whatever we do, we'd be diligent as we share the love of Jesus with those around us in a tangible way. Please remember to keep us in your prayers and especially that we'd grow in our relationship with The LORD and draw others to Him in all we say and do! Curt & Mary Jo

Donations

Mary Jo and I continue to press on in all that the Lord calls us to do.  There are many expenses involved in this type of ministry, including but not limited to fuel, vehicle purchase/maintenance/repair, tools, supplies, food, etc.  We do NOT solicit funds from anyone that we help.  ALL of the services that we perform are completely free to those affected by a disaster.

In 2011 Mary Jo quit her job and this allowed us to begin staying in the field for longer periods of time.  Since then we have spent more time on the road then we do at home.  In November of 2012 we responded to Hurricane Sandy in NYC for 2 weeks and left 3 1/2 months later!  During that time The LORD spoke to both of us about going full-time in the field.  So with much prayer we closed the doors of our business in August of 2013 and went on the road full-time!  We are relying totally on the Lord to meet all of our needs as we continue to pray about what to do with our home in Sarasota.  Currently we try to keep it rented to cover our costs, but it also sits empty at times.  Please pray for wisdom regarding our home.

We are not on any church staff and don't receive a salary from anyone.  We are praying for full-time and one time supporters as we now stay in the field longer helping more people.  This most importantly helps us build stronger relationships with those affected by the storms and with the local churches we serve alongside in the field.  We then are able to help join the two together as one day we do leave and the local church body is the remnant that God already has in place to fulfill His command of going into all the world and making disciples beginning with their Jerusalem.

We are looking for people, groups and churches who are willing to support us for $25, $50, $100, $250, or more on a monthly basis as led by The LORD.  Please don't give to us in place of your tithes and offerings to your local church.  Giving to us, or any other ministry outside of your local church, should come only after you have fulfilled your local church giving.

As a ministry of The River Ministries, a 501c3 Religious Tax Exempt Organization, your donations are tax deductible.  We are also held accountable by them for all that we do.

It is through the faithful giving of God's people that we are able to respond to the needs of those affected by disasters.  If the Lord has laid it on your heart to help fund the ministry you can give in one of two ways, please make sure you note that the funds be directed to Calvary Relief:

Please note that per IRS rules you cannot note what to do with donated monies and get a tax deduction.  We do NOT accept any donation for specific disasters, projects, tools, etc.  All giving to Calvary Relief will receive a tax deductible receipt at the first of the following year from The River Ministries.  When you give to Calvary Relief you are trusting that God is guiding us to use any donations coming into the ministry in a Godly and responsible fashion.
