We are currently in Moffett, OK where a historic flood damaged every home and building from major rains that happened upriver this summer.  We're rebuilding 3 homes and also helping others as we can, trusting The LORD to help us keep our commitments.  Unfortunately we've struggled to get volunteers, even locals to help us, which is truly sad.  We're set up to handle volunteers so if you're interested in learning more about joining us, click here.  There is also a volunteer availability calendar on that page. If you're interested in financially supporting Calvary Relief, click here.

To stay up to date with what we're doing, please see our Facebook account and/or our newsletters, links are above.  Please pray that wherever we are and whatever we do, we'd be diligent as we share the love of Jesus with those around us in a tangible way.  Please remember to keep us in your prayers and especially that we'd grow in our relationship with The LORD and draw others to Him in all we say and do!  Curt & Mary Jo

Mary Jo and I visit NYC often, one of our favorite places to go, and we’ve been blessed to do a lot of ministry there over the years.  We oftentimes visit the Staten Island 9/11 Memorial Postcards that is pictured above.  We love how the wings envelope ground zero from the outside.  But even more, the inside with the silhouettes and names of those from Staten Island who lost their lives.  Each silhouette faces ground zero as well.

May we never forget the war that foreign terrorists waged against us on that day.  May we never forget that the war on terrorism is far from over.  May we learn from history and do all we can to protect this great nation of ours and never cower to anyone who does anything to take the freedoms from us that so many have given their lives for us to have.

More importantly than all of this, though not taking anything away from those who have given the sacrifice of their lives, is the ultimate sacrifice for our lives, Jesus Christ.  When all is said and done on this earth, there is only one thing that will matter, whether or not we have a saving knowledge and relationship with the giver of life, Jesus.  May we never forget that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, (Hebrews 12:2), He is God, has been with God since the beginning, and there is nothing that was made that wasn't made by Him, (John 1:1-10)!  This same Jesus came and gave His life for us so that we could spend eternity in heaven with Him, (John 10:10)!

As American's we need to wake up and quit attacking each other, especially as Christians.   Many of our elected representatives and media outlets are pushing an end to The America that our founding fathers set it up to be.  So many of us sit blindly by, forgetting our and the world's history. It's so sad to see how our nation is quickly falling apart.  We now have domestic terrorists attacking us and many “Americans” join in and praise their efforts as they seek to destroy us from the inside out!

As Christians we need to wake up and realize that Jesus didn't die for us to be able to live in America, but rather He died so that we could spend eternity with Him.  Eternity begins the moment we accept him as our LORD and Savior. Because we're blessed to live here, then to whom much is given, much is required, (Luke 12:48).   We need to realize that the things we spend so much of our time and money on are useless when it comes to God's Kingdom, (1 Corinthians 3:10-15).  Instead we need to spend our time, talents, money, resources, etc, making ourselves first more like Christ, (Matthew 25:14-30).  Our lives then need to be drawing others to The LORD, and we need to teach/disciple them all that Jesus has taught us, (Matthew 28:19-20). I shudder to think what it is that The LORD will allow in our lives as we continue to live for ourselves, especially in America. Christians, we need revival in our lives. Christ needs to be our focus, (Philippians 1:21)!
