There are also many other signs (attesting miracles) that Jesus performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe [with a deep, abiding trust] that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed), the Son of God; and that by believing [and trusting in and relying on Him] you may have life in His name. John 20:30-31 AMP

While The Bible, God’s Word, seems like a large book, it isn’t a complete narrative of the world since God created it approximately 6000 years ago.  Jumping to a little over 2000 years ago when Jesus walked as 100% God and 100% man, on this earth, once again, The Bible does not contain everything that He did during his 33 years on this earth.  John tells us in John 21:25 AMP-“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were recorded one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.”

So why do we have what is in The Bible?  Yes, some of it is history and not just the history of the world.  Archaeologists and scientists have repeatedly proven repeatedly that the Bible is historically correct, even in cases where prior to finds it was taught and thought that The Bible had historical errors written in it.

It is also HIStory, Jesus’ story from the beginning until the end of the earth and ultimately the story of where each of us will spend eternity, either in heaven forever with God living abundantly, or in hell, separated from God and living in a state of constant suffering and torment forever.

God’s Word also clearly tells us that Jesus came to this earth to sacrifice His life for all the wrongs of all the world so that if we so choose to make Him The LORD of our lives, we can begin an abundant and eternal life with God right here, right now!  And that life that can only start here while we are still alive on this earth, can then carry us on to heaven with Christ forever!

We have God’s Word to first of all introduce us to the One who created us and everything around us.  We then are shown that we are full of ourselves, our flesh, and without hope of being able to live our lives perfectly, never being able to think, do, or say anything that is good on our own.  Because of this God’s Word clearly shows us that because of the sin, wrong thinking, saying, and doing, in our lives, we are without hope and will spend eternity away from The LORD forever in torment in hell.

But then Jesus!!  He came into this world and lived a perfect life.  He was then falsely accused of many things, but willingly went to an unfair and harsh death on the cross, suffering for all the sins that everyone has or ever will commit.  He suffered the penalty of our wrongs when He shed His blood for our sins and was separated from God, His Father.  But wait, it didn’t end there, God then gave Him the power over sin and death when He raised Jesus from the dead to forever be in heaven!

He has given us this same power and access to God, The Father, both now and forever, eventually in heaven, if we will just simply make Him The LORD of our lives.  Jesus told us in John 14:6 AMP-Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Do you want life, abundant life, both now and forever? Simply believe that Jesus is The Messiah, The Savior, The Son of God!  And then give Him control of your life.  You will NEVER regret it!  I know I made quite a mess of my life when I was in control before making Jesus my LORD and Savior.  Isn’t it time for you to do the same before it’s too late?
