We are currently in Moffett, OK where a historic flood damaged every home and building from major rains that happened upriver this summer.  We're rebuilding 3 homes and also helping others as we can, trusting The LORD to help us keep our commitments.  Unfortunately we've struggled to get volunteers, even locals to help us, which is truly sad.  We're set up to handle volunteers so if you're interested in learning more about joining us, click here.  There is also a volunteer availability calendar on that page. If you're interested in financially supporting Calvary Relief, click here.

To stay up to date with what we're doing, please see our Facebook account and/or our newsletters, links are above.  Please pray that wherever we are and whatever we do, we'd be diligent as we share the love of Jesus with those around us in a tangible way.  Please remember to keep us in your prayers and especially that we'd grow in our relationship with The LORD and draw others to Him in all we say and do!  Curt & Mary Jo

Hurricane Ida Deployment-Houma Louisiana

We’re headed out to help with the relief/recovery efforts from Hurricane IDA.  We had been in contact with Pastor Jeff of Grace Chapel of Houma, LA, who we’ve served with in the past, since before the storm hit.  He’s asked us to come in and help oversee the relief/recovery efforts for their church to serve their community.

We’ve got our tool trailer loaded with our normal tools and a lot of supplies needed immediately and it’s connected to the diesel.  We’ll be taking off in the morning.  I’ll have 20 gallons of extra diesel going in and we’ll also fill our 110 gallon fuel tank with gas for generators and chainsaws.  Pastor Kent from CC Murfreesboro will be driving the V10 and our bunkhouse Sunday.  Once we get better set up, we’ll go get our 5th wheel home and the rest of our tools and totally move to Houma for the foreseeable future.

Currently power is out with no info on when it may be restored, but we heard it’s a mess.  The water main is also out, so no fresh water.  We’ll be checking to see where we can set up Camp Calvary to bring in volunteers so they can sleep, shower, and be fed with food and The Word!!  As soon as we have that all figured out, we’ll let you know.

Remember that this is not just a couple weeks to a month response, this is going to be a months to years response and we’ll need help for quite a while.  As usual, I’m sure there will be all sorts of people heading in already and there are still residents that haven’t made it back yet.  What little roads are available to travel in need to be left open for them to return.  What little resources that are there, need to be used by the residents.  So PLEASE don’t just show up!

If you’re interested in growing in The LORD as you selflessly serve others alongside of Calvary Relief, please let us know!  For more info on joining us, click here.

If you’re interested in helping with any of the expenses with Calvary Relief, please click here.

If there’s ever anything you need prayer about or just need to talk to someone, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and let us know!

Love y’all and LORD Bless,

Curt & Mary Jo
