Lots going on and plenty to pray about! First and most importantly of all, HE IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN INDEED! HAPPY RESURRECTION!
The van, after having it looked at for the 3rd time, has been returned to us again, NOT FIXED!! We know it can be fixed, but we need wisdom on who to have look at it. I don’t have time to deal with it again for at least a week, so pray for me! The team coming in this week is unfortunately going to have to rent a van.
House flood, the inside is almost complete. We need to clean the carpets and put things back where they belong. I still have work to do underneath. But again, no time for at least a week!
New team coming in today!! We have a team coming in from CC Lake Stevens, WA. There will be 6 high schoolers and 6 adults here for a week. We’ve worked with them before. They were scheduled to come help in AR/OK a year ago and had to cancel, but we’re excited to serve with them again! Please pray for unity for all of us with The LORD that will in turn transfer to all of us here! Pray we’d be a witness for Christ in all we say and do! We’ll mostly be serving outside at Promod and Anu’s, cleaning up the yard, getting the site for the shed ready, pray it gets delivered by mid-week, and help rebuild their parents raised garden! There’s also some inside work to be done if the painters get everything finished! If that all gets done, there’s plenty more outside work that needs done at other homes.
This is only our 2nd group of volunteers that have come in since we got here in October and we’ve only had a couple of locals help us each one day. We’ve begun praying about what we’re going to do next as we can’t do this alone. We’ve reached out to a couple other locations, so pray that we’d seek The LORD’s wisdom on where Camp Calvary moves next! We still have some maintenance to get done, especially since it’s spring and our yearly spring stuff now needs to get done! We’ve also been so swamped with the work we’ve been doing, the flood, and the projects at church, that we need a break as well!
Church stuff-we keep trying to finish the kitchen we’ve been remodeling, but the cabinet guy keeps shorting us on the supplies. Countertops are in and we finally got the sink up and going and most of the drawers and cabinets have pulls and knobs so they can be used. I still need to add electric for the microwave and dishwasher and get them installed and we’re missing some drawer knobs and a few pieces of trim. I got the girls shower up and going just in time for the vols staying there this week! I’ve also been redoing all the thermostats and have run into some ac/heat equipment issues so need to meet with the tech to get that sorted out, but for the most part things work! We started working on getting electric and water installed for an RV setup for permanent/future use. We need it for our bunkhouse ASAP because Mary Jo and I will be living there this week! I’ll try to get the water done today and finish the electric on Monday with the team! Sewer will have to be pumped, but we’ve done that in the past several times.
